She was predeceased by: her parents, Zennie Robins and Otis Hogge; and her husband James Earl Shackelford. She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda Byrd; her son-in-law Mark E. Byrd; her grandchildren, Ross E Byrd (Hannah) and Caroline Byrd Dozier (Blake); her great grandchildren, Ila Grace, Susannah, Samuel, Isaiah Byrd, Luke, Virginia, Annabelle and David Dozier; and her caregivers, Lindsey, Stephanie, Brent and Cindy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Churchland Baptist Church (3031 Churchland Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23321). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at the same location.
