With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Clyde Laughlin of Chesapeake, Virginia, who passed away on February 3, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Laughlin and Dorothea Laughlin (Washington). He is survived by: his pets, Bo, J. J. and Pepper; his wife Donna Maria Laughlin (Silva); his siblings, Cora Rose (Laughlin), Marsha Snead (Laughlin), Richard "Ricky" Laughlin, Lenora "Lee" Johnson (Laughlin), Cheryl Burrell (Laughlin), Steve Laughlin, Brian Laughlin, Paul Laughlin and Neal Laughlin; his sister-in-law Toni-Ellen Brown (Silva) of Adelphi, MD; and his uncle Osie Laughlin of Rhode Island. He is also survived by his siblings, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hope Congressional Church (120 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence, Rhode Island 02915). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Cape Verdean Progressive Center (329 Grosvenor Ave, East Providence, RI 02914).
