It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Eva Deese of Chesapeake, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 83, on March 18, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Sykes and Joseph Sykes; and her brothers, Quenten, Charles and James Sykes.

She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Evette Deese; her granddaughter Chanel Nicole Brown; her siblings, Doris M. Sykes and Clifton L. Sykes; and her sisters-in-law, Doris Luvenia Sykes and Barbara Sykes. She is also survived by family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Revival Church (5833 Poplar Hall Dr, Norfolk, VA 23502). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eva's honor may be made to CRC and earmarked for the Student and Family Center.

We all would meet and have lunch twice a month. Ms. Eva with her beautiful smile would monopolize the conversation and we all just laughed. She was loved and will be greatly missed. Thelma Whitley”
