With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel Georgia Marceau of Chesapeake, Virginia, who passed away on April 19, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Nixon and Daisy Donathan Pearman; her former husband Ernest Allison; her husband John P. Marceau; her children, James Allison and Sandra Frye; and her grandsons, Billy Joe Zelie and David Walker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Jones (Ron), Linda Zelie (Joseph) and Judy Lassiter (Calvin); and her grandchildren, Michael Allison, Audrey Walldrop, Joseph Zelie (Julie), Melinda Barush (John), Marie Butler (Roland), Thomas Walker (Rebecca), Jeremy Lassiter (Tracey), Jarrod Lassiter (Mary), Brittney Davis, Brandon Allison (Jenny) and Robert Frye. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
