Though Ernest may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lucy White Acree and Ernest V. Acree, Sr.; his wife Barbara Acree; his daughters, Connie DiPrima and Leslie Shields; his granddaughter Macy DiPrima; and his sister Mary Walker. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel (524 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at the Chesapeake Memorial Gardens (524 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322).
