He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Hunt and Annie S. Hunt. He is survived by: his stepsons, Wilson Barnes, Kenneth Barnes and Anthony Barnes (Elisa); and his grandchildren, Erin, Anthony and Savannah.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM at the Great Bridge United Methodist Church (201 Stadium Dr, Chesapeake, VA 23322). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
