It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brenda Riddick Smith of Chesapeake, Virginia, who passed away on December 12, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Riddick and Lillian Riddick; her sister Patricia Parker; her nephew Steve Parker; and her niece Cindee Cross.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Michael C. Smith; her sister Ernestine; her brother-in-law John Baggett; her brother Charles Riddick; and her nieces and nephews, Douglas, Dennis Baggett, Gordon Riddick, Renae Collins, Bea Parker, Gail Arnold and Becky Fisher. She is also survived by great nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church (4316 Bruce Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23321).
