It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bishop Ronald Thaddeus Jones (Chesapeake, Virginia), who passed away on November 23, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Jones and Catherine T. Jones; and his significant other Loretta Young Jones. He is survived by: his siblings, Raymond Jones, Jr., Kathryn J. Powell and Edris J. Pruden; his great-nephew Victor Jones, Jr.; his grandchildren, Amani Phillips, Tia James, Elijah James, Marc Minor and Londyn Minor; his uncle Joseph Thornton; his aunt Rose T. Meacham; his godchildren, Amariah Wright, Shaunita Lassiter and Rashawn Lassiter; and his friends, Wanda Anderson, Apostle Lloyd and Prophetess Carlla Jenkins. He is also survived by in laws, nieces, nephews, relatives.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the J. T. Fisher Funeral Services (1248 George Washington Hwy N, Chesapeake, VA 23323). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the New Light Baptist Church (2418 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23323).
He served as Sunday School Superintendant until he and Loretta were led and blessed by God to establish The Firm Foundation Worship Center.
