He is survived by: his parents, James David Herring and Robin Gates Barber; his wife Karen; his children, Calleigh, Camille, Caleb and Connor; and his brothers, Walter (Jessica) of Chesapeake, VA, James (Yesenia) of Clayton, NC and Michael of Chesapeake, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Twiford Funeral Homes (405 E Church St, Elizabeth City, NC 27907). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
