He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Henry Grizzard and Sarah Siebold Grizzard; and his brother Walter Henry Grizzard Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Susanne Hoffman Grizzard; his son Charlie Philip Grizzard (Michelle McCoy Grizzard); his nephew Mark Grizzard (Connie); and his niece Mila Smith.

A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cheriton United Methodist Church (21309 S Bayside Rd, Cape Charles, VA 23310).
