He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Link and Rheba Light Link; his son Jon Link; his sister Joan Akers; and the mother of his children Karen Sheppard.
He is survived by: his son Timothy Link (Crystal); his grandchildren, T. W., Dakota, Sierra, Justin, Ona, Jackson and Thor; and his siblings, Betty Reynolds, Mary Richardson, James Link (Peggy), David Link, Brenda Hungate (Carl), Allen Link and Joyce Whitaker (Chris). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Gardner Funeral Home (202 E Oxford St, Floyd, VA 24091). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral services.
