It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James Edward Vest of Check, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 78, on April 1, 2021. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Pierce Vest and Elizabeth Martin Vest (Blondine); and his siblings, Willie Jean Vest, Lois Vest Baker and Kevin Warren Vest.

He is survived by: his wife Glenna Conner Vest; his son Rodney; his daughter-in-law Sandra Vest; his daughter Rhonda; his son-in-law Freddie Conner of Check; his sisters, Linda (Gerald Smith), Sandra (Eddie Songer) and Kathy (Dale Lawrence); and his grandchildren, Andrew Vest (Jaclyn), Jacob Conner and Jonah Conner. He is also survived by aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Floyd County Volunteer Fire Department - Station 3, in his memory.
