James Cooper Richards Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Cooper Richards of Check, Virginia, born in Chester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 11, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Col. Frederick W. Richards and Dorothy C. Richards; and his grandson Jacob Marion. He is survived by: his wife Florine Barnard Richards; his daughters, Kim Huerta (Tony) of Boise, ID and Dee Marion of Elizabeth City, NC; his siblings, Sally Dorr (Fred) of Jasper, GA, Susan Nunally of Mosely, VA and Bill Richards (Teresa) of Roanoke; his grandchildren, Sonjia Clifton (Jeff) of Elizabeth City, Dustin Huerta (Lori) of Boise, Brandon Huerta (Katie Jo) of Boise and Rachelle Jaeger (Brad) of Boise; and his great grandchild Caleb Burley of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
