She was predeceased by: her parents, Mac Childress and Suzanne Anderson Childress; her husband Herman P. Miller, Sr.; and her siblings, Nannie Childress Davis, Wallace Childress, Garland Childress, Robert Childress and Daniel Childress.
She is survived by: her children, Lorretta Childress of Chatham, Brenda Clark (Gerald) of Danville, Linda Clements of Java, Beverly Miller of Williamsburg, LaWanda Miller of Danville, Virginia, Percy Wayne Miller (Rita) of New Kent, Louis Miller of Chatham, Virginia, Herman Miller, Jr. of Chatham, Virginia and Calvin Miller of Chatham, Virginia; her siblings, Ella Callands of Danville, Queenie Gregory of Altavista, Sara Hodnett of Chatham, Lorene Childress, Robert Barbour of Java and William Childress of Blairs; and her close friend Irene Smith of Chatham, Virginia. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church (477 Fairview Rd, Chatham, VA 24531). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at the Bell Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (276 Woodlawn Academy Rd, Chatham, VA 24531).
