She is survived by: her daughters, Bristole Washington (Derek) of Richmond and Jade Fitzgerald (Harvey) of Norfolk, Virginia; her grandchildren, Kohyn Fitzgerald of Norfolk, D. Preston Washington, Jr. of Richmond, Virginia and Donovan Washington of Richmond, Virginia; her siblings, Charlie Lovelace (Valeria) of Teaneck, Jerry Lovelace (Jane) of Lynchburg, Virginia, Terry Lovelace of Hurt, Tammy McCray of Madison Heights and Pat Smith (Grayland) of Richmond, Virginia; and her sisters-in-law, Roxanne Daniels of Buffalo, Cynthia Wheeler (Stan) of California, Kimberly Robinson (Chip) of California and Annette Clark (Glenn) of California.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pittsylvania County Public Library - Chatham Branch in her memory, where she also served on the Friends of the Library for many years.
