He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel David Owen and Elizabeth Herndon Owen; his brother Everett Coyner Owen; and his nephew James Reid Worsham. He is survived by: his sister Mildred Jane Worsham (Landon) of Chatham; his sister-in-law Ann D. Owen of Hopewell; his nephew Jerry L. Owen (Vicki) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his nieces, Linda Owen of Hopewell, Patricia A. Owen of Hopewell and Jane W. Gleim of Atlanta, GA; his great-nieces, Wellesley G. Lewis (Thomas) of Atlanta and Elizabeth G. Goumilloot (Eric) of Salem; and his close friends, Terry, Julie Kelly, Bobby Campbell, Elaine Ruggieri, Charles, Sylvia Hawkins, Peggy, Sterling Crews, Rodney and Deb Brooks.
