He was predeceased by: his parents, Oakley Gauldin and Buelah Hammock Gauldin; his grandchild Jerome Rigney; and his half-brothers, Jimmy Greer, Jack Greer and Robert Greer.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Beatrice Patterson Gauldin; his sons, Steve Gauldin (Betty) of Chatham and Gary Gauldin (Tonya) of Chatham; and his sisters, Kathleen Saunders, Ruth Garrett and Mae Tate. He is also survived by grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
