He was predeceased by: his father Richard Lowell Adkins, Sr.; and his wife Carolyn Muncy Adkins. He is survived by: his mother Virginia Gibson Adkins of Chatham; his daughters, Stacy Barbour (Jamie) of Gretna, Sandy Smith of Madison Heights and Shelby Adkins of Chatham; his stepsons, Larry Moser of Danville and Barry Moser of Ringgold; and his siblings, Ricky Adkins of Chatham, Cindy Adkins Logan (David) of Chatham and Marilyn Cook (Junior) of Hurt. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
