She was predeceased by: her parents, Addison D. Smith and Polly Walker Smith; and her siblings, Dwight Smith and Jacqueline Smith. She is survived by: her husband Earl Lee Dawson; her children, Kevin Lee Dawson of Halifax, Polly Paige Conner (Darren) of Callands and Shauna Fanin (Marion) of Chatham; her siblings, Barney Smith of North Carolina, Mary Jane Keesee (Morris) of Martinsville and Trudy Payne of North Carolina; and her sister-in-law Margaret Smith of Blairs. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
