It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Benton of Chatham, Virginia, born in Summit, New Jersey, who passed away on September 30, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Joseph Trumble and Clare Eugenia Trumble of Short Hills; her husband Jesse; her daughter Mary Elizabeth Benton; her brother Robert Gerald Trumble; and her daughter Pamela Lee Benton Vandermark.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Benton De Freitas of Boynton Beach and Jesse W. Benton III (Edie) of Chatham, NJ. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
