He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Mayhew and Emogene Guthrie Mayhew; and his wife Betty Haley Mayhew. He is survived by: his daughter Sherri Betterton (Larry Meeks) of Gretna; his grandchildren, Wesley Shelton, Jr. of Gretna and Haley Shelton of Gretna; and his siblings, Dean Mayhew of Gretna, Michael Mayhew of Gretna and Connie Mayhew of Gretna.
