She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley T. Herndon and Mildred Jones Herndon; and her brother Leon Herndon. She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca Parsons (David); her grandchildren, Claire Parsons and Madelyn Parsons; and her sister Joan Pittmon.
