With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Doss Patterson (Chatham, Virginia), born in Appomattox, Virginia, who passed away on October 10, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband William Diuguid Patterson, Jr.; and her siblings, Carlene Covington of Appomattox, Nancy Hall of Appomattox and Kenneth Doss of Appomattox. She is survived by: her children, Martha Jane Patterson and William Thomas Patterson (Anne Marie) of Roanoke; her grandson Joshua Thomas Patterson (Marrissa); and her great grandchildren, Kyle and Claire of Lithia, FL. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Due to the pandemic, no funeral service will be held.
