With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Olga Saunders II (Chatham, Virginia), who passed away on December 18, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Osborne Saunders and James O. Saunders, Sr.. He is survived by: his sister Gayle Brann (Scott Brann); his daughter Chelsea Shelton (Ben Shelton); his niece Catherine Cori Sowers (Ronnie Sowers); his great-nephew Tanner James Sims; his pet Cooper; his friend Virginia Tech; and his wife Peggy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services & Crematory - Chatham Chapel (147 S Main St, Chatham, VA 24531). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
