It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Allen Holmes of Chatham, Virginia, born in Farmville, Virginia, who passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Ferguson Holmes and Allen Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Susan Showalter Holmes; his children, Brittany Ingram (Derrick), Joshua Stone (Jordan) and John David Stone (Vandalina); his brother Jack Holmes (Barbara); and his grandchildren, Caiden and Samson Stone. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
