She was predeceased by: her parents, Nettie Weatherford and Luther Weatherford; her daughter Phyllis Womack; and her grandchildren, Sharon Womack and Bryant Cooper.
She is survived by: her spouse Russell Franklin Mitchell; her children, Barbara Gunnell (Dave) of Danville, Terri Bates (Buford) of Ringgold, Jeffery Ray Mitchell (Dianna) of Reidsville, NC, Jimmy Cooper (Lucy) of Keeling, VA and Mark Samuel Mitchell (Rose) of Danville; her sister Lottie Farmer of South Boston, VA.; her grandchildren, Gary, Tamara, Jessica, Rhonda, Racheal, Amber, Mark, Jr., Russell, Gina, Jeffery, Jr. and Helen; and her pets, Daisy and Misty. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Due to recent events, and in compliance with the government mandate due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we require everyone wear a mask when attending memorial celebration.
