He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lewis and Mary Elizabeth Giles; his siblings, Leslie Giles, Larry Giles, Hazel Giles, Mary Jessie, Nancy Robertson and Virginia Moran; and his grandson Patrick Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Shorter Giles; his daughters, Tondea Giles Bailey (Bob) and Amy Giles Martin (Tom); his grandchildren, Mindy Bailey, Monica Finlay and Andrew Martin; and his brothers, Ronnie Giles and Donnie Giles. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
