He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Clifton Herndon and Eva Herndon Herndon. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Coleman Herndon; and his sons, Kenneth Herndon (Janie), Steven Herndon (Susan) and Frank Herndon. He is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one sister, and two brothers.
