She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Purcell Watson and Wilmoth Irby Watson; her husband Guy Edward Smith; her brother Calvin Watson; her great grandchild Jordan Michael Smith; and her sisters, Ava Dawson, Jane Falls and Fannie Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Alfred Smith of Roanoke and Tabitha Hale (Michael) of Bedford; her siblings, Alvis Watson (Jean) of Hurt, Phyllis LaBrie of Lynchburg, Mabel Cross of Tennessee and Betty Wilborn of Rustburg; and her close friends, Leon Davis and Climax. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
