She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Anne Shelton; her sister Jo Anne Owen (Claude); her nephews, Brandon Owen and Byron Owen; her father Walter Bell Merricks, Jr.; and her grandparents, Walter Bell Merricks, Sr. (Mabel Wells Merricks) of Henry County, Cosby M. Shelton (Georgia Daniel Shelton) of Dry Fork and Virginia. She was also cherished by many other aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
