It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Daye of Chatham, Virginia, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Junior Nibblett and Elizabeth Carter Nibblett; her husband William Daye, Jr.; her son Anthony Myers; and her brothers, Walter Nibblett, Wade Nibblett, Haywood Nibblett, Richard Nibblett and Rickey Nibblett.
She is survived by: her son William Daye; her stepdaughter Bessie Walton (Paul Walton, Jr.); her sisters, Mary Wimbush, Edith Wimbush (Neal), Debra Edwards (Reggie) and Bertha Nibblett; and her aunt Sarah Carter of Ridgeway, Virginia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (2412 Green Pond Rd, Chatham, VA 24531). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery (2412 Green Pond Rd, Chatham, VA 24531).
