He is survived by: his wife Donna Simmons; his sister Linda Ebbert (Jack) of Colonial Heights, VA; and his children, Samuel Simmons Jr. (Kim), Timothy Simmons (Sandy), Tammy McDaniel (William) and Matthew Simmons (Shannon). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
