She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon F. Smith; her parents, Leonard George Martin and Etta King Martin; and her sisters, Edna Smith Martin, Louise Womack and Mildred Ann Hazlewood.
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Smith Stanton (Bobby); her grandchildren, Brandy Stanton Denson (Jon) and Ashley Stanton Bush (Ben); her great grandchildren, Jaxon Denson, Gracyn Denson, Cooper Bush and Miller Bush; her sister Lessie Crews Hazlewood (James); and her caregiver Ruth. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
