She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father James Henry; her husband Roy Jackson Carter, Jr.; her sons, Roy III, Rev. Ethelbert of Boydton, VA and Garland of Henrico, VA; and her sister Landora B. Clark of Chase City, VA. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law.
