He is survived by: his wife Edith Barnette Gryder; his children, Juanita Gryder Murray (Marty) of Raleigh, NC, David Vernon Gryder (Katie) of Chase City, VA and John Edmund Gryder (Gail) of Clarksville, VA; his grandchildren, Daniel Murray (Carmen), Stacey Murray, Josh Gryder (Ashley), Katie Wright (Richard), Zach Franklin and Brooke Dominguez (Vinny); his great grandchildren, Grayson Gryder, Addison Gryder and Nathaniel Ray Wright; and his siblings, James Gryder, Norris Gryder, Floyd Gryder and Annie Holder. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
