She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Barbour Hart and Edd Hill Hart; and her sisters, Ginger Hart of Chase City, VA and Martha Kersey of Ruckersville, VA.. She is survived by: her husband Chuck Story of Madison Heights, VA.; her stepchildren, Anne Carter Sweeney (Chris) of Stephens City, VA and Chuck Story (Vicky) of Forest, VA.; her grandsons, Hunter, Tanner Lloyd of Stephens City and Henry Story of Lynchburg; her brother Roger Hart (Linda) of Manakin-Sabot, VA; and her brother-in-law Tom Kersey of Ruckersville, VA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
