She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Jefferson and Annie Wilson Jefferson; her husband Harold C. Johnston; and her sisters, Lou Alice Harris, Arlene Jefferson and Pearle Vanderbilt.
She is survived by: her son Connell D. Jefferson (Trennis) of Oxford, NC; her grandchildren, Angela Pulliam, Sharnae Jefferson and Miya Jefferson; her brother-in-law Lorenza Harris, Sr. of Saxe, VA; and her nephew Donnell Jefferson of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by other loving relatives and caring friends.
