With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucy Mary Bullock Harris (Chase City, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 23, 2024 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Bullock and Iva Lou Bullock; her stepfather William Clark; her husband John William Harris, Jr.; her son Thomas W. Harris; her granddaughter Natasha M. Harris; her siblings, Eula Bullock Warren, Claudine Rhone, Minnie Pearl Bullock Lyon, Grace Quarles, John W., James H. Alfred, Jr., Phillip and Harvey Bullock; and her son-in-law Wayne Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Richard L. Harris (Barbara Ann) of Chase City, VA, John W. Harris (Tina) of Broadnax, Patricia Williams of Chase City, VA, Bobby Jean Jackson (Tyree) of Henrico, VA and Rosa Harris; and her siblings, Edward Bullock of Skipwith, VA and Shirley Bullock Gayles of Red Oak, VA.
Viewing was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Giles-Harris Funeral Home (1304 N Main St, Chase City, VA 23924). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Oak Level United Church of Christ (5631 Jacksontown Rd, Manson, NC 27553).
