He is survived by: his children, Angela Elam Williams (Charles) of Detroit, MI and Marcus Elam of Los Angeles, CA; his grandchildren, Charleigh Williams and Charles Williams III of Detroit, MI; his former wife Avis Elam of Detroit, MI; his goddaughter Robin Wiley of Burlington, NJ; his brother Dwight Elam (Diane) of Chase City, VA; and his aunt Margaret Moody of Red Oak, VA. He is also survived by other loving relatives and caring friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Giles-Harris Funeral Home (1304 N Main St, Chase City, VA 23924). Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Level Baptist Church (3 Hwy 15 North, Clarksville, VA 23927).
