He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen John Bevell and Gladys Ellen Hite Bevell; his son John Manual Bevell; and his siblings, John D. Bevell and Jeanette B. Arnold.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Lavin Bevell; his children, Dale Bevell (Laura), Dwayne Bevell (Heather), Lorenda B. Overman (Harrell), Tamara H. Toner, Tonia M. Harrison and Amanda W. Ostrander (Steven); his former wife Rebecca N. Bevell; his siblings, Jewell B. Fields and Glenda B. Smith; and his great grandchildren, Beth O. Cauley (Ivey), Betsy O. Roberson (Ryan), Dave Overman (Vennie), Ryan Bevell, Joshua Bevell, Jaden Bevell, Maddox Bevell, Nicolas Toner, Abigail Toner, Olivia Toner, James Toner, Camden Ostrander, Mazzy Ostrander, Maxwell Ostrander, Wade, Logan, John Rex, Brooks, Quinn, Adellynn, Josie, Davis, Lynne and Libby. He is also survived by many friends and co-workers as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
