He is survived by: his son Duane Whitlow; his sisters, Dollie Wood and Margaret Vining; his grandchildren, Scott Whitlow (Byron) and Renee Whitlow; his close friend Edith Callahan; and his caregivers, Chery Coleman, Willicia "Maggie" Crutchfield, Glenn Chavis and Elenor Hopkins (family: Tim, Dylan "Zeke", Savanah).
