She was predeceased by: her husband Marion W. Owen; her granddaughter Alexis Owen; her siblings, J. W. Toombs, Edith Lacks and Grace Conner; and her half-brother Marvin Guthrie.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Owen, Paul Owen (Tina), Hope Franklin (Todd) and Melanie Ellis (Dink); her grandchildren, David Owen (Kelsey), Matthew Owen (Caroline), Amillyon Owen, Alyson Franklin, Kelsey Franklin, Kristyn Owen, Cameron Owen, Josh Ellis, Zach Ellis and Madisyn Ellis; and her siblings, Wesley Toombs, Thomas Toombs, Garland Toombs, Lillie Mae Tatum and Lois Mull. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
