She was predeceased by: her husband Grady Hester, Jr.; her son Bernard A. Hester; her grandson Andre High; and her siblings, Isaac Crute, Jr., Louise, Jeanette, Juliet and Elizabeth.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Hester, Wendolyn Hester, Winifred Dodson (Reginald), Bryan Hester and Byrone Hester. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; three nieces, Elizabeth Jefferson, Vernell Williams and Doris Mayo; a devoted friend she raised as her daughter, Carmen Tucker, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
