She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Thompson and Mary Etta Wilson Thompson; her husband Ollie Leroy Salley; her daughters, Dr. Linda D. Salley and Dean O. Salley; and her siblings, Ethel Parrish, Helen King, Harry, John, Edmond and Charlie Thompson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Woodson (Melvin) of Chase City, VA and Celestine Brooks (Leroy) of Red Oak, VA; her grandchildren, Tonya Salley-Goodwin of Harrisonburg, VA, Siobhan Richardson (Tarron) of New Castle, DE, Michelle Yancey of Charles City, VA and Juwan Brooks (Jasmine) of Clarksville, VA; her great grandchildren, Hailey, Peyton, Aiden, Jayce and Christin; and her siblings-in-law, Carrie Lee Thompson, Martha Salley, Thurman Salley (Irene) and Amos Salley (Laura). She is also survived by other loving relatives and caring friends.
