He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew, Sr. Bass and Estelle Beasley Bass; his son Roderick Bass, Sr.; his grandson Damarion Campbell; and his siblings, David Bass, Linette Spencer and Frances Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Bass of Drakes Branch, VA; his children, Tony Bass, Jr. of Richmond, VA and Amanda Bass (Shaun) of Brodnax, VA; and his siblings, Frank Bass of Washington, DC, Matthew Bass, Jr. (Francine) of Jacksonville, NC, Calvin Bass (Margaret) of Chesterfield, VA, Gail Bass of Union Level, VA, Mildred Bass (Bobby) of Richmond, VA and Deborah Bass (Calvin) of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
