With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christine Gee Long of Chase City, Virginia, born in Lunenburg, Virginia, who passed away on July 22, 2021 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arkley Spencer-Gee and Rosa Spencer-Gee; her husband Howard Long, Sr.; her children, Gwendolyn Long, Dorothy Davis and Roger Long, Sr.; and her siblings, Jennie Hardy, Eunice Maddox-Bragg and Alex.
She is survived by: her children, Mattie Jean Boney (Harry), Rosa Carruthers and Howard Long (Theresa); her grandchildren, Harry Boney, Jr., Earl Boney, Scott Boney, Christian Boney, Jason Long, Vania Long, Sean Long, Irving Carruthers and Maria Branch; and her daughter-in-law Rose Long. She is also survived by other loving relatives and caring friends.
Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 2:00 P. M. until 6:00 P. M. Mask are required for all viewings and services, and we ask that you social distance.
