He is survived by: his daughters, Teketia Smith (Devin) and Tashika Morris (James); his wife Dianne Hardison Yates; his grandchildren, Jadelyn, William, Kaleb Smith and James Morris (LJ); and his sisters, Mary Yates Holloway (Carl), Margaret Yates Gohaner (James) and Hattie Yates Hawkins (Levi). He is also survived by aunts, nieces, cousins, and friends.
