It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy D Shifflett of Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Daniel and Annie Shifflett; his wife Nancy Ann Shifflett; his son-in-law Wayne Lawhorne; and his siblings, Norman, James, Edward, Mervin, Irene and Mavis.

He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Lawhorne; his granddaughter Elizabeth Lawhorne; and his sisters, Stella, Mary and Joyce. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews.
