It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Dean Williams (Charlottesville, Virginia), who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albany Benjamin Williams and Annie Blanche Morrison Williams; and his brother William Dorsey Williams. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Williams; his children, Emily Williams, Andrea Williams and Ryan Williams; and his stepsiblings, Mildred (John), Marie (Larry) and Winston (Anita).
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Teague Funeral Service (2260 Ivy Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22903). A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Monticello Memory Gardens (670 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Charlottesville, VA 22902).
He was a life member of IEEE and the Computer Society for over 40 years, making significant contributions to the field.
