He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gentry and Thelma Reese; and his daughter-in-law Gail Gentry. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Gentry; his children, Dr. Roberta Gentry (Chuck) and Charles Gentry; his grandchildren, Nicholas Gentry, Kate Musselman (Russel) and Will Smith; and his sister-in-law Janet Lunsford (Nelson). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
